The web lobby
Most reviewed platforms on the Slots Studio shelf publish a web lobby that works on Chrome, Safari and Firefox on both desktop and mobile. The web lobby uses the same backend as the app; what you lose by going through the browser is the device biometric prompt at sign-in and the push notification channel.
When the web lobby is the better choice
If you are signing in on a public device (a library terminal, a shared office machine) the web lobby is the safer pick. The reviewed platforms treat the browser session as a fully functional client; nothing changes about the cashier or the rules.
When to prefer the app
Prefer the app when:
- You are playing on a personal device you control.
- You want biometric sign-in or push notifications.
- You have a slow mobile data connection and want to keep the lobby cached.

Installing the mobile app on Android and iOS
Every reviewed platform we log offers an Android app and an iOS app. The Android app is usually distributed as a direct APK from the platform's own download page, or from the Google Play Store when the platform holds a paid placement there. The iOS app is on the App Store, and the App Store listing is the only official source for iOS readers.
If the reader is on Android and the preferred install path is the APK, the Android settings must allow installation from the browser that initiated the download. Most browsers show the toggle the moment the first install is attempted. The toggle should be turned back off after the install is complete.
For the iOS install, the App Store listing is the path. If the app is region-restricted and the App Store does not surface it, the platform's own help page usually lists the alternative path. The Slots Studio desk does not host any download artefacts; every download is served by the platform itself.
